SWISS CHARD

LETTUCE
Our lettuce is a signature blend of baby romaine, batavia, oakleaf, incised, and butter types. Our lettuce is grown under shade cloth and watered with overhead irrigation to keep it cool in the summer. With the right varieties and growing techniques we can produce a crisp and sweet lettuce blend even in the heat of summer.
SPINACH
Triple washed and delicious available April – June
KING RICHARD LEEKS
Our favorite leek — over 10″in length of tender, blanched hearts. We love these sauteed and roasted by themselves as a side dish or utilized anyway you would a sweet buttery onion.
HEIRLOOM BEETS
We adore Detroit Red. An old tried and true variety with rich sweetness and a classic beet flavor. Avalanche is our flagship white beet that has a clean sugary taste that can be enjoyed raw.
PINK BEAUTY RADISHES
These little gems are so crisp and sweet.
ARUGULA
We offer Arugula year round now as we grow it with our lettuce under shade cloth and mist to keep it almost just as delicious as it is in the Spring!
FRENCH SHALLOTS
We grow a super sweet variety that is perfect for raw eating and carmelizing. We offer shallots year round but we love them best in the late Spring / Early summer when we harvest them fresh. A must try if you haven’t
BROCCOLI
This is a new one for us this year. Hopefully it works out!
TOMATOES
We will be growing 160 tomato plants this year and cannot wait to try them. We are growing under shade cloth and trellising them high to get maximum production in the field this season. Tomatoes will be available mid June / early July as long as the weather holds for us.
Cherry tomatoes
This year we will be growing a mix of our favorites:
- Sungold – little round yellow, fruity and sugary
- Apero – medium sized red and round with classic sweet red cherry tomato flavor
- Chocolate Pear – a meaty tomato with a mild and sweet taste
- Blush – an oblong peach striped tomato that is fruity and sweet
Heirlooms and Hybrids
We have selected an exciting variety of heirlooms that feature unique flavor profiles and colors this year.
- Cherokee Purple – rich, sweet and slightly smokey — this is our favorite tomato to date
- Carbon – one of the darkest and prettiest of the purple types with an extra dose of the complex flavor that makes dark tomatoes delicious
- Pineapple – A large yellow and red striped beefsteak that is juicy and rich
- Big Rainbow – Another big one we are trialing with Pineapple to see which one tastes and performs the best
- Emerald Evergreen – Lime green and deliciously sweet, these are stunning in a Caprese salad
- Green Giant –
- Chef’s Orange – bright orange, fruity and juicy, with complex overtones of sweetness
- New Girl – the only hybrid we are growing this year, we haven’t tried this little lady yet but hear she tastes better than early girl!
PEPPERS
- Peacework and Flavorburst – new sweet bell peppers with amazing flavors (think citrus and stonefruit) compared to store bought bells
- Cornito Giallo – 1.5″ wide at the shoulders and 5″ long these sweet yellow and red italian peppers are wonderful
EGGPLANT
We are growing a variety of eggplants this year that are all very versatile for grilling, stuffing, and baking. We have pulled together our favorites based on their mild sweet flavor.
- Paloma – A beautiful and mild creamy white eggplant. This was a hit last year even for some eggplant haters!
- Fairy Tale – A small purple and white striped beauty that has a sweet and firm texture
- Orient Express – Classic Japanese eggplant with rich dark skin and a creamy texture
GREEN BEANS
- Emerite – a tender and sweet french heirloom filet bean
SUMMER SQUASH
We are really excited about the varieties we are growing this year and beleive me we get tired of zucchini too! We offer squash two ways: in mini form: picked when they are about 2-3″ in size so they can be sliced in half and sauteed, grilled or roasted whole. We also sell a nice small 5-6″ in size at a lesser price.
- Magda – a pale green, sweet, and nutty zucchini type squash
- Sunburst – a bright yellow patty pan with a buttery flavor
CUCUMBERS
We pick our cucumbers on the small side ( about 8″) so they are extra crisp and sweet.
- Diva and Tasty Jade – sweet and crisp cucumbers perfect for slicing and snacking
MELONS
- Brilliant – a canary type melon, yellow, tangy, extra fruity and sweet
- Sarah’s Choice – an extra sweet and juicy canteloupe
- Lambkin – a sweet and juicy, green Spanish desert melon with white flesh
- Diplomat – a galia type melon with a tropical sweetness
- Lily – a beautiful and large crenshaw
BASIL

FLOWERS
We are growing a wonderful assortment of flowers and greenery this year and offering several different bouquets. All flowers with the exception of some of the larger flowered Dahlias will last 7 days in the vase.
